We want the contributions we make toward supporting innovation in science and areas of unmet need to make a positive difference. Therefore, we welcome applications from nonprofits and educational institutions working in our areas of medical interest, as well as from community groups in the U.S. where we have a business presence.
Before you apply

Be sure to apply well in advance of your funding needs, as our review process can take anywhere from 8 to 16 weeks.
Information to prepare
Before beginning your application online, gather the following information and documents that may be applicable to completing your contribution request:
- Detailed description of the program for which you're requesting funding
- Total program budget and organization annual estimated income
- Most recent financial statements, preferably independently audited
- Your organization's U.S. tax exemption letter and W-9
- Applications types cannot be combined and must be applied for individually, using the appropriate link for each request (e.g. sponsorship and donations).
Process, timeline, and eligibility
We accept contribution requests through our online application; please do not submit proposals on paper or through other means. Once you complete the online process, you'll be notified by email upon our receipt of your application. During our review we may also contact you with follow-up questions.
Applications can be submitted online at any time, all year round. Please be sure to apply well in advance of your funding needs because the application review process can take from 8 to 16 weeks. Community Relations contributions are only reviewed quarterly; those applications received by the quarterly deadline dates (February 15, May 15, August 15, November 15) will be considered during the subsequent review meeting, approximately one month after the deadline. Review meetings for other types of contributions are held on an as-needed basis. We are unable to fund any programs after the event date.
In all cases, Sanofi Genzyme notifies applicants of our decision by email. We receive many qualified and deserving applications and regret that we cannot fund all of them. All applications receive a fair review, and we encourage organizations to reapply for future programs and initiatives.
We are committed to the transparency of our interactions with health care professionals and institutions consistent with applicable laws in countries in which Sanofi Genzyme has affiliates. Information relating to payments or other transfers of value to these recipients will be collected and reported as required under U.S. federal and state laws and regulations, including the “Sunshine” regulations.
